Teacher

After completing her degree in Art History at The University of Notre Dame, Lindsay Tyson rushed to New York to pursue a career in public relations. As soon as she settled into the city, Lindsay dove deep into yoga, a practice through which she experienced profound connection with herself and with others.  That connection has kept her coming back to her mat again and again. As her love for the practice grew, Lindsay realized that intentional movement gives one the power to undo old habits, to heal trauma, to shed tired stories and to navigate life with a bit more ease, grace and joy.

When it became clear that she was constantly adjusting her work schedule to accommodate her yoga schedule, she decided to do her first teacher training at Pure Yoga in 2009 and began teaching immediately. Lindsay has done subsequent trainings through Jivamukti Yoga School and advanced trainings with Colleen Saidman and Rodney Yee at Yoga Shanti where she currently teaches vinyasa classes in NYC.

Lindsay continues to find refuge, inquiry and inspiration as a student and teacher of yoga, but when she first stepped in to The Class by Taryn Toomey in the summer of 2014, she discovered a fire that she didn't know she was missing. For Lindsay, The Class's powerful and elegant methodology has expedited the journey that the yoga practice started for her years ago. The Class has given Lindsay a whole new modality for growth, healing and transformation and has propelled her to move forward in life with newfound and ever growing levels of courage, strength and clarity.

As a teacher, Lindsay seeks to help students cultivate a feeling of freedom and an awareness of their own radiance, strength and ability. Lindsay is thrilled and humbled to be teaching The Class By Taryn Toomey and to be sharing this life changing practice with others.
