Natalie and Kevin share with you what to expect, dive into what our Altar Offering is meant to inspire, and leave you with something to think about as we prepare for our time together.


Please read the instructions below carefully to align your travel with our shuttle & boat transportation.
Be ready to step off the plane and into adventure!

Flight to Puerto Vallarta

For boat transportation purposes, please book an arrival flight to Puerto Vallarta Airport (PVR) that lands no later than 4:00pm on Wednesday, June 5th and a departure flight that takes off no earlier than 11am Sunday, June 9th.

Once your travel to PVR has been booked, email We will confirm your airport shuttle from PVR to Marina Vallarta pier two weeks before our arrival date, as well as your boat from the pier to Xinalani Resort - both are included within The Retreatment cost.

For safety reasons, Xinalani does not operate boat transfers at night time. Should you book a flight outside of our recommended flight times, you will need to arrange your own accommodations in Puerto Vallarta until they align with our boat transfer schedule.

After landing at Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR), take a moment to change into comfortable clothes for your trip to Xinalani. You'll be joining us by boat, so expect to get wet up to your knees when stepping off the boat and onto the beach. We suggest wearing shorts, sandals, and sunscreen. We also recommend safeguarding your cell phone and valuables in a waterproof dry bag to avoid humidity!

Arriving at the airport

You'll be greeted at the airport by our shuttle service, VIP Services, followed by a 15 minute taxi transfer to the pier of API Terminal Maritima in Marina Vallarta. There may be a small wait time at this terminal until all guests for your scheduled boat transfer have arrived, be sure to pack snacks and water!


Once you clear immigration, you will proceed to baggage claim. Please note that baggage claim could take up to an hour. The Xinalani team will be monitoring all check ins, and will hold or altar your boat shuttle accordingly should you be running late.

Collect your luggage and follow the way towards the exit. Right in front of baggage band number 7, you will see the VIP SERVICE booth where hostesses in bright pink dresses with beige jackets will be waiting for you with a sign. From there, they will escort you to the VIP Service booth waiting area until you can board your shuttle (next to “Flaps” for reference). VIP Service is a shuttle company that will take you to La Terminal Maritima.

They will be prepared with your personal information and destination. If you don't find the hostesses, go directly to the second VIP Service booth located right at the International Arrivals gate on your right hand side.

Getting to Terminal Maritima

VIP Service will take you to La Terminal Maritima. Terminal Marítima, is also known as API for reference's sake. This shuttle ride is 15 minutes. When you get to La Termina Maritima, our host Enrique will be waiting at the entrance. He will guide you to your boat that will bring you to the resort. Your belongings will be checked for safety.

Transfer by boat

Our boat transfer from the La Termina Maritima to Xinalani Resort is 35 minutes.

Please note that we will travel by “panga”, a 25 to 30 foot fiber glass mexican boat with an outboard engine. Life vests will be provided on board. Be sure to be on the lookout for turtles and whales! The Xinalani team will do their best to get you up close and personal to these magnificent creatures should you spot any. Please put your electronics as cell phone, lap top, etc. in a dry handbag to avoid humidity.

Depending on the weather, waves, and current that day, the boat transfer will drop you off on shore (be prepared to get wet up to your knees!) or at a small pier with a 10 minute walk to Xinalani Resort (for your safety should the waters be rough!). Xinalani's bellhop service will bring your bags from the boat to your room.

Should you have trouble with sea sickness, please email as we will be happy to schedule you a boat transfer out of another pier. This option is a 45 minute taxi ride away from PVR Airport and 15 minute boat ride away from Xinalani.

Late arrivals

Remember that for safety reasons, Xinalani does not operate boat transfers at night time. Anyone on a flight that is delayed and/or lands after 5:00 PM will have to spend the night in town at their own expense. In this case, you will receive an email with a list of recommended hotels and a new boat transfer itinerary for the next day. We do not refund the void night as it is considered a no-show.

  • We recommend using a luggage tag to help the Xinalani team distinguish your luggage upon arrival

  • Binoculars (to watch whales from your terrace!)

  • Please limit luggage to one carry on and one suitcase each

  • Credit card to place on file for any additional add ons and staff gratuities should you wish to leave one (recommended: $15USD per day per guest)


Sēfari Rebirth Sessions with Jobi Manson

This Summer, Jobi Manson will be offering Sēfari Rebirth Sessions designed specifically for The Retreatment by Taryn Toomey. In addition, Jobi will be with us during the entirety of The Retreatment, supporting our process and holding space for our work.

“From arrival to exit, The Retreatment is transformation. It is all about change, shift, let go, integrate, begin again. You step onto the island with the world still behind you, your intent beginning to form, entering a space of powerful wise women and men and you begin.  Along the journey you're understanding changes, your relationship to the stories you came with begins to let go, your body finds its STRENGTH, your mind finds its CLARITY and your heart OPENS.

I created Re:Birth specifically for The Retreatment as a catalyst for energetic healing, reflection, and support of your individual creative journey. Whether it is the experience of water healing offered for you, alignment through visualization, symbolic decoding, or connection to your wild spirit, these sessions bring another layer of understanding to the shift.

The Re:birth is designed to deep dive into the waters within, mapping your emotional landscape, to guide your way to clarity, peace, and the flow of "your wild heart".  Drawing from depth psychology practices, we clear obstruction, unlock the energetic gates and discover the frequency of ease.”


In these 90-minute sessions, I draw as needed from the sources of:

Nature + Depth Psychology: We are expressions of nature. The dynamics and connections that shape the natural world and guide its evolution are mirrored in our physical, emotional and psychological bodies.

Visualization : We use ocean based visualization as a tool to explore our inner nature and discover the wild creativity that dwells deep within. Conducted in water, resting on a paddle board this technique helps our minds craft powerful imagery that expedites in the power of emotional recalibration.

Astrology: An archetypal language of energy and symbolism. We will interpret aspects of your star chart as a lens to understand behavioral patterns and how you engage with your instincts.

Creative Writing: A medium to support expression and surrender.

Water Healing: Attuning the body mind and spirit to its natural elemental flow.


Duration: The Sēfari Rebirth Session is 90 minutes long

Cost: Individual $300 or Partnership / Friendship Session (2 people) $550

Payment: You will be able to make payment online in the coming weeks or pay on site by Zelle or paypal. Payment link will be sent with registration confirmation.

Location: The Ocean and Beach in front of Xinalani Resort

Cancellation Policy: If your cancellation is within 24 hours and the appointment is filled by another guest, you will not be held accountable for payment.  If your cancellation is within 24 hours and the appointment has not been filled, you will be charged in full.

During The Retreatment, we invite you to bring an object that holds meaning for you.  We will create a space at the front of our practice room for you to place this object. It could be a photo. A piece of art. Jewelry. A letter. Anything. We suggest that you think about this ahead of time.  Begin the process of what it is that you are stepping into this week with what you want to work with, and place it on the altar.


On site massages and services can be scheduled upon arrival with the front desk. Massage appointments are not included in The Retreatment total.


All our meals will be gluten-free, dairy-free, refined sugar-free, farm-to-table and most importantly delicious.

Lastly, if you have not done so already, please sign your e-waiver.
It must to be completed in order to participate in The Retreatment.



Are towels provided?
Yes! Sweat towels, beach towels, and bath towels will be provided.

Is laundry service available?
Yes, laundry service is available on site through the front desk. Cost varies from $3 - $7USD depending on item and will be returned to your room within 24 hours.

Is there Air Conditioning in the rooms?
There is Air Conditioning in our private Casitas only. The ocean air breeze and fans help cool our other accommodations.

Are there any extra costs to this retreat?
The front desk will ask you to place a card on file for incidentals, alcohol, any snacks eaten outside
of our meal services provided, massage appointments, and tip should you choose to leave one.

Will alcohol be served?
We will have alcohol available for purchase. Alcohol is not included in The Retreatment total.

Are hairdryers provided?
Hairdryers are not provided and it is recommended to keep them at home, as Xinalani’s electrical circuits are not designed to withhold high intensity electric devices.

Are yoga mats provided?
Yes! Yoga mats will be provided.  

Are the afternoon activities required?
Everything during The Retreatment is optional. We highly encourage you to join us for Meditation, The Class, and Yoga.
This week is about taking care of YOU. Please do what feels best and right for your body and spirit.

"Cancellation" is defined as not attending your scheduled days of ‘the retreat’, including postponing or rescheduling. "You" refers to the guest booking ‘the retreat’. "We" refers to ‘The Class Corp’. It is your responsibility to read and understand our cancellation policy before making a reservation. Naturally, no one books with the intention of canceling or postponing their retreat, but unexpected things do happen, so please consider purchasing travel cancellation insurance.

Travel Cancellation Insurance

Depending on the policy and conditions, travel cancellation insurance will pay for some or all cancellation fees. With most agencies, insurance must be purchased within 14 days of making your reservation. Guest Cancellation Policy

‘The Class Corp’ does not offer cash/check or credit card refunds for the deposit for any reason. If you should need to cancel prior to the May 5th, 2019 payment deadline, the remainder of your payment will be refunded. Should you need to cancel on or after May 5th, 2019, the remainder of your payment must be paid in full. ‘The Class Corp’ is not responsible for your expenses incurred in preparation for any canceled retreat, such as airline tickets, loss of work, and/or other costs associated with preparing for your trip.
