Senior Teacher

Living and teaching yoga in NYC full time since 2003, Heather has now returned to her native state of California to continue offering classes, teacher trainings, mentorships and retreats. She is also part of the teachers launching The Class by TT in Los Angeles in 2016.

She began teaching yoga after completing the Jivamukti Teacher Training with Sharon Gannon and David Life while finishing her bachelors at New York University. In 2008, she completed the 800-hour Jivamukti Advanced Certification.

In 2010, she has added a more Iyengar based approach to yoga through her studies with Colleen Saidman and Rodney Yee at the Yoga Shanti 300-hour teacher training, which she later assisted as a mentor, and currently teaches as a lead teacher.

She has trained numerous teachers at Pure Yoga, The Shala, Yoga Vida and Yoga Shanti as a mentor and has been a contributing member of their respective teacher training programs. She recently revised the 200 hour Yoga Vida Teacher Training and Mentorship Curriculum, as well as developed the 300 hour Advanced Teacher Training Program for Yoga Vida while acting as Yoga Director. She continues to advise and contribute to curriculum in various studios. She is registered with Yoga Alliance as a 500 hour E-RYT.

In 2012, she Co-Founded Yoga For Bad People, a yoga based company focused on leading retreats worldwide.

Her yoga classes integrate creative vinyasa sequences with meditation, chanting, good music and spiritual philosophy. In some classes there will be no chanting, and more of a physical alignment approach, and other classes there will be a more philosophical approach to the practice.

In 2014 she discovered The Class with TT. She was ready to add a little more fire and movement to her physical practice, without leaning too far away from yoga, and The Class offered more than she could have imagined. She has been a consistent student of Taryns in NYC, teaching yoga and meditations alongside her on The Retreatments, and weaving The Class into her practice as a fundamental part of the journey.

She is thrilled to be sharing these modalities and practices with the west coast.

She is known for her sweetness, passion, sincerity and enthusiasm.
