"According to Taryn Toomey, founder of the cult-status mindful workout The Class, fitness retreats are more about carving time for self-love. 'From my experience with The Retreatment, people are looking for the type of vacation that will leave them feeling happier, healthier, and more fulfilled,' she says. 'We spend a lot of time ‘doing’ for others, and when it comes to time off, it’s nice to leave the kids, the job, and the responsibilities behind, and do the work of filling yourself back up.'"
“To suit the one-of-a-kind workout, Lululemon collaborated with Toomey, a long-time ambassador, to create an 11-piece collection, including bras, tights and tanks ... To celebrate the collection’s launch, [Toomey] flew to Vancouver for the weekend to teach a couple classes, and we dropped into one at Turf in Kitsilano. So how was it? A sweaty non-religious church service or therapy session might be the best analogy."
"Taryn Toomey is hoping her new collection with Lululemon ... empowers. 'We wanted to create a collection with a light and ethereal feel that not only connects the body and mind, but also allows you to move freely and without distractions or feedback from your clothes during practice,' she explains of the release."
“The Lululemon x The Class by Taryn Toomey collab blends the best of both brands into a line that's practically designed for self-care, however you practice it."
“Lululemon doesn't do many collaborations, so you know that it's going to feel strongly about the ones it does. Its latest is with the NYC-based Taryn Toomey, creator of ultra-popular cult workout The Class ... It's not surprising in the least that almost every color in both styles are nearly sold out after just being released yesterday."
“You may scream for ice cream, but fans of Taryn Toomey’s cult workout class scream because that’s what people do in her class. The fitness-program founder, who opened up her first crystal-bedecked Tribeca studio this year where Christy Turlington and Jennifer Aniston openly yell and pound their chests within airy, white walls, also just launched her first collaboration with Lululemon."
"The Class creator turned out to be exactly what the major retailer was looking for in a partner, according to its creative director, Lee Holman. 'Taryn has a unique viewpoint about our products, especially our seamless pieces,' he says. 'She wanted something very fluid, soft to the touch.'"
“When Lululemon asked the routine’s founder, Taryn Toomey, to design a special collection for the brand, she departed from your average athletic gear. Picture earthy pastel shades in lieu of all black, lithe, dancer-inspired silhouettes and a 'meditation cloak' to throw on post-class. That said, don’t let the zen vibes fool you ... the line is still tough enough to handle a hardcore workout.”
“For the Fitness Fiend : Wellness enthusiasts probably have heard of Taryn Toomey, the preternaturally glowy blonde behind the Class, the celebrity-approved fitness craze billed as 'a heart-centered cathartic movement practice,' ... Ms. Toomey has teamed up with Lululemon on an 11-piece collection of seamless crop tops and bras, knit wraps and ribbed leotards.”
“An inside look at Gwyneth Paltrow's first ever wellness summit, where talk turns to crystals, gut health, sexual rejuvenation and leech facials ...”
“Devotees of Taryn Toomey's cult workout The Class, now on both coasts, come in search of what they call 'The Body' as well as a boost for the soul. 'It's an outlet for emotional change,' Naomi Watts, a regular at the Tribeca studio, says ... 'It wakes up your spirit.'"
“In an impossibly fitting move, Toomey is launching a nail polish collaboration with Tenoverten, the brand dedicated to simple, non-toxic formulas ... Toomey has created a trio of "soothing" nail polish shades that are just as simple ... 'We are the guides we seek,' Toomey is quoted on the set's box. 'We are the love we yearn for. Our beauty is here, in our own reflections, if only we would look. Witness. Learn. Let your heart open to the path back to yourself. And there you are. Always.'”
“Feeling and looking your best takes dedication. In our health and beauty series we look inside the speed dials, beauty cabinets—and even refrigerators—of Manhattan’s most stunning glow-getters."
“Intended as a cathartic experience, The Class aims to change the way people think about fitness and the mind-body connection, not only in New York City, but also LA, Vancouver, and this summer, the Hamptons.”
“The beloved New York City workout The Class by Taryn Toomey has made its highly anticipated L.A. debut. The cathartic movement experience created by Toomey is designed to engage the mind through a series of specific motions. 'During The Class, your body will become leaner and toner through endurance exercises,' explains director and senior instructor Natalie Kuhn. 'Through guided instruction, you will meet the part of you that is underneath the habits of distraction, avoidance, hurriedness,' she says."

“With gorgeous marble slabs, striking crystal accents and light fixtures, and a soft pink-and-gray color palette, The Class by Taryn Toomey’s first-ever Tribeca studio is more like a boutique hotel than a fitness studio thanks to architect Michael Constantin. Founder and instructor Taryn Toomey collaborated with interior designer Elizabeth Kohn of Elizabeth Kohn Design and interior designer and crystal healer Rashia Bell to create features like the tourmaline-and-hematite-lined floors. Healing clear-quartz light fixtures by Kelly Wearstler and metal lighting by Christopher Boots sit alongside earthy art and photography curated by Trove Art."
"I am up by 6:00 a.m. most days so I aim to be in bed by 10pm. My goal (key word - goal) is eight hours of sleep per night. After I put my kids to bed, I usually do a little work and then make sure everything is in order for the morning. Sometimes I take a bath, sit for an evening meditation or put my 'legs up the wall' all while attempting to not look at my social media. If I have trouble sleeping, I practice slow breathing to try and slow my mind down (one of the tools that we teach in The Class). The first thing I do in the morning? Brush my teeth and scrape my tongue." —Taryn Toomey
“Toomey, one of NYC’s most celebrated fitness impresarios with a cult following, has a newly opened Tribeca studio and a crystal jewelry line to boot. This spring, her seasonal cleanse program called The Layer gets into full swing.”
